Calapeña crowned Miss Oriental Mindoro 2007

lovely Calapeña beauty stole the hearts and eyes of the judges in this
year’s Search for Miss Oriental Mindoro held last November 14 at the
Alfonzo Umali, Sr. Gymnasium.
Diane Arevalo,
the charming lass from the Divine Word College of Calapan, bested
the other eleven (11) alluring ladies coming from the different
towns in the Province of Oriental Mindoro.
Being the early
favorite to bag the coveted beauty title, Arevalo also won two (2)
minor awards namely the Best in Swimsuit and the Miss Bikini
Philippines.
Other winners
of the pageant were Jessica Misal from the town of Gloria who
garnered the 1st Runner-up title including the minor
awards of Ms. Photogenic and Ms. David Salon while a young beauty
from San Teodoro, Regina Herrera placed as the 2nd
Runner-up.
The Search for
Ms. Oriental Mindoro is a traditional beauty contest held every
Foundation Day of the province sponsored by the Miss Oriental
Mindoro Charities Incorporated (MOMCI).
Present
officers of MOMCI were Vice-Governor Estee Aceron as President,
Provincial Legal Officer Lawyer Atty. Lorybelle Tanyag as 1st
Vice-President, Budith Alinea as 2nd Vice-President,
Arnold Valencia-Secretary, Tess Leycano-Treasurer and Mark Feraren,
Dr. Erlinda Badillo, and Alex Belleza as members.
MOMCI was
founded in the year 2004 in cooperation with the Provincial Senior
Tourism Operations Officer Orlando Tizon. |
